I’m no longer staying sober because I’m afraid of what’s going to happen if I don’t. I felt that way at the beginning, but there’s another step beyond that for me: where fear became love, and devotion. I’m devoted to my health, to my body, to my wellness. I can’t imagine using drugs and alcohol today, not because I’m an addict, but because I desire this life.
