Science on Instagram: "Gravity is the force that pulls objects toward the center of a planet or moon. The strength of gravity depends on the planet’s mass and size, so it is not the same everywhere. On Earth, gravity is about 9.8 m/s², which we call 1 g. On Mercury and Mars, gravity is weaker (about 0.38 times Earth’s), so you would weigh much less there. Venus has almost the same gravity as Earth (about 0.91 times Earth’s). The Moon has very weak gravity — only about 1.6 m/s², or one-sixth of E
