Roberto Nazal pressed the DICT during Tuesday's (September 30) budget hearings to speed up plans for local data centers, saying taxpayers spend P12 billion yearly on foreign cloud storage. DICT is proposing P2.5 billion for three data centers, said budget sponsor Rep. Brian Poe, with a long-term goal of nine facilities worth P7.5B.
